Business Overview
Mondul 3 Village,Slorkram Commune,Siem Reap,Kingdom of Cambodia
New Hope, with the assistance of sponsors and volunteers, treats up to one hundred residents each day for burns, wounds, salmonella poisoning, infections and illnesses such as malnutrition, HIV, hepatitis, typhoid, tuberculosis and dengue fever.
Each month, families in need receive food packages and New Hope provides free education to six hundred children and young adults. New Hope also plays an active role in the fight against human and sex trafficking.
Crisis Care Club (CCC) is a dedicated program that provides emergency and disaster relief support for families in critical need. CCC members contribute a dedicated amount each month, which provides essential funding for New Hope to respond quickly to a range of urgent situations. These can include covering the cost of emergency shelter and care for women and/or abandoned children, emergency food relief or baby formula, blankets and tarpaulins for the homeless, emergency operations such as broken limbs and amputations and burials.
CCC contributions can range from US$15.00, US$25.00 or US$50.00 each month.

The Helen Bonner Health Centre
Preserving health and saving the lives of parents is fundamental to conserving the families and cultures in the ancient community of Angkor Wat.
· In memory of his late wife, Helen, Queensland Pharmacist Chris Bonner contributed significant funds to enable New Hope Cambodia to relocate and expand their one-room medical facility to a large twelve room premises.
· The New Hope Helen Bonner Health Centre treats up to 100 patients each day and its medical team performs approximately 1,800 consultations a month. All medicinal costs, estimated at US $1.20 per patient, are covered by New Hope Cambodia.
· Accompanies patients to major Hospitals in Phnom Penh for surgeries, providing transport, family accommodation and support.
Outreach Program
The Outreach Program provides many services to the poor and impoverished communities around the Angkor Wat area. Based out of Mondul 3, the Outreach Program serves to better the Cambodian people by conducting regular assessments of individual family situations and providing the relevant support needed to assist the families. New Hope also works with relevant authorities and police in the fight against human trafficking.
New Hope's Outreach Program:
· Feeds 200 impoverished families and 50 starving babies each month
· Issues birth certificates and documents so families will be “legalized” and able to access the public health system, public education, and have the right to vote
· Provides crisis counseling and support for victims of domestic violence
· Educates women on family planning, human rights, childcare and food hygiene
· Educates the community on human and drug trafficking, and gambling and alcohol issues
· Repairs housing and installs water pumps
· Provides mosquito nets, blankets, woven mats, and bicycles.
Education Program
· The focus of New Hope Cambodia is ‘free education for all’ as the founders recognize the vital role education plays in helping break the cycle of poverty.
· Most families in Mondul 3 cannot afford public school fees, books or uniforms, and many children are needed at home to mind younger siblings while their parent/s or older siblings attend work or in fact to work themselves to support their family.
· New Hope Cambodia provides free education for 600 students daily, teaching English, math, computer skills, sex education and equality, sewing and sport.
· It also supports 250 students undertaking a formal Khmer education and provides funding for uniforms for the public schools, books and bicycles.
· This program also provides employment and support of higher education for poor Khmers in need of opportunity.
New Hope Training Restaurant
· New Hope’s Training Restaurant was established in July 2010 with the aim of teaching unemployed Khmers valuable cooking and hospitality skills, and developing their confidence and employment opportunities.
· Visitors and volunteers are welcome to experience our Restaurant cuisine, Monday through Friday, and money generated from the restaurant goes directly to fund the New Hope school.
· We have plans to establish a bakery and produce breads and high protein foods, creating
further employment for villagers, and individual businesses by selling produce in surrounding villages.
Sustainable Farming Projects
New Hope has established a number of self-sustainable farming projects including fish and vegetable farms, and provides agricultural training for the poor.
· The New Hope Farm is situated on several acres of agricultural land in Krobi Reil Commune, the agricultural belt surrounding Siem Reap Township.
· It is New Hope’s objective to develop this area significantly, relocating some of the families from the worst of the slum areas, providing them with new homes and the opportunity of employment or small businesses.
Tour Program
New Hope has launched a new tourist business providing guided tours of local
attractions and educating visitors on the plight of the Cambodian people.
This service can be accessed by volunteers and visitors to New Hope, adding to their experience in Siem Reap. Tours include trips to the ancient Hindu temple Angkor Wat, the Floating Village, the Flooded Forest and many others surrounding Siem Reap.
