Day 1: Phnom Penh – Oudong – Kampong Chhnang – Kampong Kdei – Kampong Khleang

Begin your journey at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel in Phnom Penh. Travel by private vehicle to Oudong Mountain, Cambodia’s former royal capital, where you can explore historic Buddhist stupas and religious monuments while enjoying the peaceful countryside scenery.

Continue to Kampong Chhnang, a province famous for its traditional pottery craftsmanship. Visit a local pottery village to discover how Cambodian artisans create pottery using traditional techniques and learn about this longstanding cultural heritage.

Afterward, continue toward Kampong Thom Province and cross the Tonle Sap River using the local daily ferry. Enjoy scenic views of the waterways and surrounding communities while experiencing a form of transportation used by local residents.

Once across the river, continue toward Siem Reap Province and stop at Spean Kampong Kdei Bridge, also known as Spean Praptos. This ancient Khmer stone bridge dates back to the Angkorian period and offers an opportunity to admire historic architecture and take memorable photographs.

In the late afternoon, arrive at Kampong Khleang, a traditional community along Tonle Sap Lake. Check in at a local homestay and experience the warmth of Cambodian village hospitality. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in the village.

Day 2: Kampong Khleang – Tonle Sap Lake – Siem Reap

Start your morning with breakfast at the homestay before checking out and boarding a traditional local boat to explore Kampong Khleang floating village and the surrounding waterways of Tonle Sap Lake.

During the boat excursion, discover traditional stilt houses, local fishing activities, and the daily lives of the community. Enjoy scenic views of the lake and learn how its natural resources support local livelihoods. The landscape and water levels may vary depending on the season, offering a different experience throughout the year.

After the boat trip, return to the departure point and continue by private vehicle to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for drop-off and check-in, marking the end of your two-day Cambodian cultural journey.
