The Sarus Crane Feeding Researve
Ang Trapeang Thmor (ATT) is one of the top bird watching sites close to Siem Reap. It is the feeding ground for the Sarus Crane (Grus Antigone) in the dry season. About 200 bird species have been spotted at the reserve, these include the Spotted Wood-owl, Oriental Plover, Greater Spotted Eagle, Comb Duck, Black Kite, Milky Stork, Painted Stork and the Black-necked Stork. It is also a natural habitat for the Eld’s Deer.
Ang Trapeang Thmor Protected Landscape was created by Royal Decree in the year 2000 covers an area of 12,650 hectares of wetlands, grassland, dry dipterocarp forest, bamboo forest, and the open water surface.

Tour Notes
The best time to see the Sarus Crane is from January to May, however, an abundance of bird species makes it a worthwhile birding site all year round.
Our expert guide with our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 5.30am toward Ang Trapeang Thmor, as early as we can so we get the most of the morning time which is best for the birds and nature. We will arrive back in Siem Reap around 5 pm or early or later depends on your interest in the tour. We can either take you back to your hotel or to another destination of your choice in town.
Breakfast is provided by CBGA with a croissant, two slides of cereal bread with butter and jam, some fresh fruit, and coffee or tea. Please do if you may wanna pack breakfast also from your hotel.
Other things to bring: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
CBGA will provide drinking water in a big container to refill, so we request you to bring your own water bottle from home or from your hotel. It is our campaign to reduce plastic waste.
