Kbal Spean Birds & Tour
Kbal Spean – Birding in DDF forest while visiting the temples. A tour combining a morning’s birding at Kbal Spean dry deciduous forest. Then a bird watching trek up to Kbal Spean waterfall, where A Thousand Lingas carving can be seen along the riverbank. We will also visit the Angkor Center for Conservation of Biodiversity (ACCB), a wildlife refuge for illegally hunted birds and animals, the shelter provides safety for the animals until they can be returned to the wild. The tour involves a visit to Banteay Srey temple, on the way back.

Kbal Spean Birds & Tour
We will be looking out for around 50 species, including: Hainan Blue Flycatcher, Green-eared Barbet, Siberian Blue Robin, Rufous-winged Buzzard, White-throated Rock-thrush, Black Baza, White-rumped Shama, Crested Serpent-eagle, Black-headed Woodpecker, Great Slaty Woodpecker, White-bellied Woodpecker, Indochinese Cuckooshrike, Burmese Nuthatch, Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, and three different kinds of parakeet (Blossom-headed, Red-headed, and Alexandrine). Tour Notes
Our expert guide with our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 5.30am, as early as we can so we get the most of the morning time which is best for the birds. We will arrive back in Siem Reap around 5 pm or early or later depends on your interest in the tour. We can either take you back to your hotel or to another destination of your choice in town.
Temple pass is required to do this trip.
Breakfast is provided by CBGA with a croissant, two slides of cereal bread with butter and jam, some fresh fruit, and coffee or tea. Please do if you may wanna pack breakfast also from your hotel.
Other things to bring: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
CBGA will provide drinking water in a big container to refill, so we request you to bring your own water bottle from home or from your hotel. It is our campaign to reduce plastic waste.
