Overview of Baca Villa Guesthouse & Restaurant
Just outside Siem Reap’s city center we recently opened our new Baca Villa II, where you can enjoy your stay in a pleasant private atmosphere. Enjoy great food in our tropical garden, where you can order traditional Khmer dishes, but also western food is on the menu.
Accommodation of Baca Villa Guesthouse & Restaurant
Baca Villa offers four private ensuite rooms with air conditioning. Two double rooms are at the front side of the villa and have their own terraces and two twin rooms at the back of the villa, which are also ideal for families whith children.
Restaurant & Terrace
As we understand that only a suitable place to accommodate is not yet sufficient for our guests, in our lush tropical garden we have a private set up, where guests can enjoy their drinks and meals in completely natural airy setting.
We serve breakfast daily from 06:30h. Lunch and dinner can be arranged as you like it. Our kitchen serves delicious Khmer food, but international dishes are on the menue too. Try our home made amok or traditional Banh Chheav.
Enjoy a BBQ evening in our lush garden. We are serving excellent curries, fine Khmer amok, excellent grilled meat, daily fresh vegetables, French bread and all kind of sauces.
Did you know that Cambodians eat more rice than any other people in the world? The Khmer expression for “Have you eaten?” (Khmer pronunciation: [?am ?a?j n?w]) is “Have you yet eaten rice?”
Cambodia’s most well-known dish amongst visitors is Amok, which is very similar to curry like dishes, found in neighboring countries. With freshwater fish (snakehead fish, or Mekong catfish), fresh meat (commonly chicken) and also with tofu, is covered with an aromatic kroeung (pounded shallots, lemongrass, garlic, kaffir lime), roasted crushed peanuts, coconut milk, and egg and then wrapped in banana leaves and steamed until it achieves a mousse-like texture. Unlike the Thai, Lao and Malaysian versions of the same dish, it is not intended to be spicy but rather fragrant, zesty and flavorful.
