What To Expect
You will need to be at your hotel reception at 5:45 am as we need to meet our host fisherman for the morning. This tour really is one for those that are keen to experience something unique. You will travel through the quiet streets to a local fishing village on what is known as Fishing Island. At this time of the morning you will see and feel Phnom Penh starting to come alive. Arriving at the local fishing village, you will meet your captain for the morning and board a traditional Cambodian fishing boat. Venturing out onto the mighty Mekong River you will enjoy Phnom Penh from a unique perspective. Watch as your captain sets his nets in time honoured ways that have been passed down for generations. Returning to the captain’s village, you will enjoy a traditional local breakfast. If the fishing gods have smiled upon you this will include your catch from the morning expedition. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the local fishing village as the people go about their daily lives on the shore of the Mekong River.
